I’m really excited to share this collection with you guys today! When we created this collection we were inspired with a secret garden meets midsummer nights dream hybrid. The overall esthtic was a little darker than previous lines, but so beautiful and romantic.
Without any further ado, lets jump into the 12×12 papers.
Ah, the cut apart paper. I kept the layout real simple on this one, with just twleve 3×4 cards – perfect for pocket pages! I love the photo real elements combined with the watercolor textures. STORY TIME: I found these peonies at COSTO! Can you believe that? Costco. So instead of buying stock photos online we got to work with our AMAZING photography department to shoot these beautiful flowers for this line.
This line came out in October so we could really get away with these moody flowers. Bright florals with moon, dark backgrounds fit the bill perfectly. For the Bride I was inspired by a wool fabric I had seen on a coat, I scaled the pattern of the wool up in proportion and cleaned up the lines to create this really interesting checkerboard/houndstooth effect.
To create the marbled paper I experimented with a few marbling techniques. I finally came up with one I liked that was all black and white. We kept it that way for a while but eventually came to the conclusion that more color was needed as a whole. In order to add color I took the black and white image into photoshop and used it as a mask. I then used Kyle’s Wet Charcoal Brush to color in the various colors.
While designing this paper I was really inspired by the fridge magnets that can be used to create poetry. I used more usable phrases that could be used in scrapbooking, planning, or card making and color coordinated the words to the squares. Some really beautiful projects have come out of this paper, including this awesome button projcect from Thai Nguyen.
Moving on from the gorgeous papers onto products:
These thinkers are gold foiled with a floral pattern over top of pink, blush, and navy that match the collection. They can be used separately or mixed and matched for a fun detail.
Ephemera pieces compliment any project.
This translucent, foiled sticker pack is the perfect set for planners or carmakers.
I love these cork stickers, they have gold glitter infused into the cracks that add just a little bit of shine. I made a set of these in the C’est La Vie collection that were all hearts. I love the differing shapes in this set. Especially the flags and banners – they match up with a few pieces in the ephemera pack.
This puffy stickers are a great capstone to the collection – they have a bit of everything from the collection.
